If you wrong (right) click on the drive icon, what action is BOLD (default) in the drop down menu?
If its anything other than 'Open' then you might need to run this little Reg Patch... 'Start/Run' then 'regsvr32 /i shell32' (with out the markers.. but note the Spacing!!)
I've heard it work for the majority!, but I've not had to try it!!
i did do some research and the idea of a trojan or something, putting an autoplay.inf file on the HD came up, can you remind me what the root directory is? I did search for the file on all 3 HD's but there was nothing
I know of a virus that does exactly this. Have you done an AV scan?
just to let you guys know how i fixed it...i ran the housecall thing it did find a few things..but didnt seem to fix it..although FF crashed half way....then i downloaded a prog called Flash Disinfector which fixed it
