Double Check my Spec Please.

I got a little mixed up with a guy telling me about a program or a mode where you put something on drive a and drive b will automatically copy it.

RAIDing a server though, apart from an increase is speed, is it worth it?

It depends on what you need it for... I'm not really the one to ask though. As I said, I'm still new to the world of RAID.

It's the first word in the acronym :p, it also offers redundancy (when configured like so) in case of hard drive failures.

If you're referring to my "RAID is not a backup solution" comment, I must apologise for not making it clear what I meant. I will edit my comment accordingly.

I've got whs 2011 and with a 4tb HDD, it's formatting the drive to a 60gb parition for whs and then a 2TB partition for folders leaving nearly 2TB unsusable.

I put the drives in GPT mode to make sure this wouldn't happen, could anyone advise on a way to acces the full 4TB drives please?

Is it definitely in GPT if you look in disk management?
If it is you should be able to extend the volume into the space.
If it is GPT and you don't have that option then you should be able to use some partition software to extend it without too many issues.
