*** Double fine kickstarter ***

I'm in the UK. Got my dispatch email on the 12th July.
I think they said on the DF forums it will take until the end of august to send them all out and they are doing it in order of shirt sizes. I was a large.

The fact it is on Steam too just sweetens an allready AMAZING idea. No mention of consoles in site either.... SWEEEET.

Gah, missed this, would have chucked a few quid into that.

Kickstarter is indeed awesome, have backed a few things recently, mainly for the selfish reason that I get goodies that I'd never be able to otherwise get (I'm a glutton for limited edition artwork).

They've opened it up for people that missed the Kickstarter as well. :) Don't know if you can bump it up for goodies though. :o

Cool, thanks. Gone for that.

So glad they are doing this in the way they did, the industry should now take note that gamers DO want adventure games. Always amazed me that they faded away in the first place, by far my favourite genre and always has been.

Now lets have Grim Fandango 2 and some more of the Discworld ones.

First details are starting to be made public about the game now it's nearing completion.
It will be called Broken Age and is now available for preorder with beta access for $15 (£10)

Broken Age is a point-and-click adventure telling the stories of a young boy and girl leading parallel lives. The girl has been chosen by her village to be sacrificed to a terrible monster--but she decides to fight back. Meanwhile, a boy on a spaceship is living a solitary life under the care of a motherly computer, but he wants to break free to lead adventures and do good in the world. Adventures ensue.

Broken Age development began when we asked our community if they would help us create a classic-style adventure game without needing to rely on traditional publishers. It turns out they did.

And ever since day one, 2 Player Productions has been recording the whole process in an ongoing series of in-depth episodes documenting the creation of a game. By becoming a backer, you can follow the game's development as it progresses!

I remember hearing this game last year but back then I didn't think having a KS account was worth it... now I wish I helped back this up :(. Saw a livestream on it and wow, it looked great. Preordered on Steam but now I have to wait for the 28th :(.
