Tim Schafer is doing a live stream of when the Kickstarter finishes. Think it starts at 10pm or 11pm.

So, how would the t-shirts work? Would they just contact everyone due to get one and ask sizes?

Yes I think so. It says this in the FAQ

Q: Will you be making different sizes for the t-shirt? A: We will! A survey will go out to all backers that pledged over $100 to gather shirt sizes.

57 minutes to go! And I upped my donation to $30 to get the HD documentary, and it'll be worth every penny!

How did I miss this! HOW!!!!!! truly gutted as I love Tim Schafer and sad that ive missed out as i wouldve happily handed them my money. Oh well good luck to them and I hope they manage to make a truly awesome game. So refreshing getting rid of the middleman (IE EA etc) in a marketplace that is just so so stale atm...oh yay a new cod every year, fantastic! :( It allows them to truly develop games that the fans want. I mean just look at the pile of poo that turned out to be mass effect 3 due to EA's influence. So glad they are doing this as it truly gives them the freedom to write a great storyline and implement it well.

PS also although many wernt too keen Brutal Lengend was awesome! one of my truly memorable games.

Finished at a mighty $3,335,265
Plus another $110,000 from premium backers who donated directly.

I'm amazed at just how much this has raised.
Hopefully publishers are looking at this and will be more likely to fund a point and click game in the future.

Alright I'm getting somewhat angry at this.

The kickstarter page and the videos give MINIMAL info about the game. The only thing we're told is that it's a point and click adventure, and the reason he made the kickstarter was because publishers thought "point and click" was dead - which it totally is. Who wants to play one of those? I've been gaming since I was 7 and had not even heard of one of those till 3 years ago.

Fair enough that it got the money they asked for, but then they got a couple more million! What the hell? That money could have gone to far better things, rather than this sweaty mess, whom I'm sorry but doesn't really look like he'll know what to do with it all. The guy has made just two noteworthy games out of the 15 that he's put out.

I realise that the ideas will be crowd sourced from the donators, but if anyone knows anything about group projects - it becomes exponentially more difficult make something that pleases everyone's expectations with the more people that are throwing ideas at it. This is doubly so when people aren't in the same room as you, and then doubly more when you never see their faces or talk to them one to one.

The Devil's Apprentice, Inazuma. :p

And many MANY people want to play point and click adventures.

There have been fantastic indie releases. I'm not sure I understand your vehemence towards DoubleFine though. :p

Words can't begin to describe you Inazuma....

You've never heard of adventure games? Before FPSs got big, they were hugely popular in the early and mid nineties. You've never heard of Monkey Island? Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, Broken Sword, The Disc World games?

You're either 12 or been living under the biggest rock in history. :o

People gave this much money because they want an adventure game, and Tim Schafer and Ron Gilbert are two of the pioneers of the genre.

I hope you're trolling. I might die laughing otherwise. :p

Gutted I missed this, would have totally donated.

I lived off point n clicks in the 90s, and Psychonauts was sheer class.

and the reason he made the kickstarter was because publishers thought "point and click" was dead - which it totally is. Who wants to play one of those?

87,142 Backers who in total raised $3,336,371 would disagree with that statement :D

I gave them $110. I am eager to see what they come up with. Tim Schafer (Double fine) have made some amazing cult classics like The Secret of Monkey Island, Grim Fandango and Psychonauts.

Inazuma nobody held a gun to your head and told you to donate.
people donated because they wanted to see this project happen, sorry you dont agree but its not your money at the end of the day its ours.
