Double spacing words

Does anybody know a way to double space individual words in Microsoft Word, without pressing the space bar twice? (Possible a way to press the space bar once but get two spaces).

Here you go, its the dropdown you need to select 2.0 for double spacing.

Does this not just change the vertical spacing rather than double spacing each word? Im finishing off my dissertation and am a bit confused about this.
