I'd agree. I think Paint.NET has a better and cleaner interface that is easier to understand. Gimp, in my mind, is trying to be as much a clone of Photoshop as possible whereas Paint.NET is like a supercharged version of the classic Paint.Gimp is good, but for simple stuff paint.net is easier to use (IMO).

I didn't realise, don't remember installing it. In that case it comes does to what you want to do with images. Gimp is more powerful but Paint.net is easier to pick up.
