This is one of those petty annoyances which isn't a massive problem but it would be nice if there was a fix.

When I click to Download a Gmail attachment, I always get the following prompt -

GmailAttachment.jpg

The file extension is set in Firefox to default to my preferred choice (in this case Microsoft Word), but despite ticking the box to 'Do this automatically from now on', I still get the prompt.

Is there any way of bypassing this prompt? I don't always want to view as HTML or a Google Document.

Thanks in advance :)

I assume you'll need some sort of download manager addon for firefox to achieve this..

I rarely download anything, so haven't looked into it..
