Want to shift my two gaming rigs and have just one due to space, should I sell the current rigs and build a more upto date unit or keep some core components?

Only thing I would like in the new build is a 4090 as I'm running a 4k 120hz (lG 42c2, and two 4k 60hz for work). Will be using for gaming mainly single player games, also do basic stuff on teams etc. for work and lastly want to use for video editing. My rig is usually on 24/7 so would be nice to keep the energy usage down but not a must.

Overall I don't want to be spending more then I need to but there is no upper limit to the budget. Over the years I've overspent on my rigs just because I enjoyed playing with new gear and like the look of custom loops. Current rigs are below if a downgrade on the cpu would be better let me know.

Main: 13900K, Z690 Maximus Extreme, 64GB DDR5, 3090, 2x 2TB SN850, Seasonic tx 1000

Gaming: 13900K, Z690-I Strix, 32GB DDR5, 3090, 2x 4TB SN850X, Corsair SF750

Server: 12400, 128GB DDR4, 106TB

Seems fairly obvious to reuse your itx build while upgrading the PSU to accommodate a 4090 and Move the 64gb into the itx build as long as it's 2 dimms.

What case do you have and cooling ?

or keep some core components?
There's nothing wrong with either PC, I'd keep the main system if the size isn't an issue.

My rig is usually on 24/7 so would be nice to keep the energy usage down but not a must.
ITX motherboards are usually better on power usage @ idle, but I'd be surprised if it was anything worth worrying about (the difference, I mean).

I'd be putting some of the storage from the gaming PC into the main pc swapping out the 3090 for a 4090 and calling it done tbh

You wouldn't even need to change the PSU in the ITX build to accommodate a 4090 if you under volt it. You can get them running ~300w with about a 2% loss in performance.

Like Tetras said, keep the main system and throw a 4090 in there unless you don't have the space for ATX or love the ITX form factor.

3090s aside your systems don't get much more up to date. A complete waste of time moving away from a 13900K. I've looked into changing my 12700K for a 7800 X3D as I've got the C2 as well and the performance uplift was basically nothing in almost every title at 4K.

Yeah I'm OK for space to having the atx build but have lost the man cave so no need for dual setup as I used to keep the itx in the mancave/cinema room.

I can put a few more nvmes in the atx build and will still have the server for storage so guess its just gonna be a 4090 then just have to get a waterblock as it would be more effort running the gpu on air atm.
