Anyone work for DPD here?

Receiving my lovely GTX 970 today,DPD driver knocks on my door (very lightly)..by the time i make i get downstairs he has already moved on to knocking on next door..and the house after that that..i go outside to see him walking back to his van at 100mph.

i give him a yell,he comes over saying "thought nobody was in"..gives me the parcel and says Surname..Bye.

Didn't have one of those machines for me to sign for the parcel,I'm not happy at the fact that he was going to leave my parcel with neighbors either..how does he know they are trustworthy?..and a better question was he going to get the neighbors to sign for it?..if they had been dodgy neighbors (idk, they're new) whats saying they would have kept the parcel and denied ever receiving it?

Are DPD drivers in that much of a rush to do all their round that they gave up on the security of their parcels?

Although i wont deny it was a fast delivery service,Thanks Overclockers..its Pretty disappointing the above happens.

A: The money will have been taken from the OP's bank account for the item contained in the parcel prior to shipping, which most definitely does mean it belongs to the OP! The courier has simply been entrusted with the job of delivering said parcel.

B: Why should the sender have the right to determine where the OP's parcel is left? It's the OP's parcel and if they don't want it left with neighbours (for any number of reasons which are of no business to the sender) then they should have the right to say so.

Exactly!

this. also, i sense a slight exaggeration in the op. bet he knocked really rather loudly and waited for a solid 2-3 minutes while the op was busy fapping

No i was not fapping. :p

Because as far as the company is concerned, it's the sender's parcel until it's delivered? OP isn't paying the courier company, sender is.

I'm pretty sure our postage is factored into the final price of goods we pay for,You don't get anything for free these days even though they quote "free postage"..in reality your still paying for it somehow.

The anger in the OP is quite sad. You got your parcel, he was doing his job. Get a grip man. My DPD driver will try a second time if i'm not in and then leave it with my neighbour. I barely know my neighbour but I'll take parcels for them and likewise.

Anger?..come on..i dont get "Angry" over a parcel,I was merely sharing my concern for the drivers lack of safety for my parcel and that he was in such a damn rush he couldn't wait 20 seconds for me to get downstairs.

Thread is old now anyway,Not sure why it was even bumped.
