DPD Ouch

I won an Ebay item worth £60 for £17, and DPD delivered it to a neighbour without telling me or leaving a note, who promptly stole it and DPD did nothing to help.

Useless *****

Personally, I thank the heavens when I see DPD are delivering a package.

Always had a perfect service from them, at over 9 different addresses.

Can't say the same for City Link or DHL. Easier to make up names for these two companies also :p

I've never had a problem with any courier in 2 different towns/cities and multiple addresses, maybe I've just been lucky.

Count yourself lucky :P though I think it depends a lot on the local depot.

City link, yodel, dhl, etc. have been absolutely terrible here - "next day" = 2-4 days, stuff going missing, things turning up looking like they've been kicked around, etc. compounded by the drivers being some of the most miserable people I've encountered in a customer facing role.

Parcel force and 1-2 others have been ok but nothing amazing.

Only had DPD miss next day delivery twice out of well over 100 order - once due to crazy amounts of snow (and they still managed to get here the day after) and their drivers are usually (tho not always) friendly and pleasant.

This has been the same story for 3 different addresses though only 2 of them I've spent much time at.

Yes, happens a lot and the costs incurred by the vehicle operator involved in a bridge strike can be horrendous.

Put it this way, had I done that, I would be looking for a new job, of that I'm certain.

Reminds me of Pinnacle Airlines Flight 3701, the pilots effectively decided to die rather than lose their careers after destroying one of the engines when they exceeded the aircrafts design limitations.

That's my town lol :o:D

Someone told me it had happened at work.. they were trying to blue light down horsefair and couldn't get down because of the traffic lol.

27 years of trucking experience.
Also knowing that our trailers go on the continent and are actually microscopically lower than 13".

I very rarely leave anything driving related to chance !

[Edit]

Oh it's a 63 plate Renault 460 Premium Prime-Mover

Deserves to die IMO, ugly trucks :p Now that new FH serious, good god they're gorgeous.

Iv had nothing but bad experiences with DPD they came to me with a PC I got from OcUK about a year ago only to not evan have the pc on there van it was left in Birmingham lol but he had all the paperwork to say it was loaded on I got the PC 2 days latter ..

Most of the time apart from that im allways last on the list with damaged packages, squashed or split boxes

UK mail or DHL for the win imo

looks like it should fit barely.

did it actually get stuck or is he just reversing back out?

they should give trailer hydraulic suspension so they can lower the trailer to get through tunnels that are borderline ^_^

Mine does :D been under a few bridges and put the air down on the back to get through :D

13.4 lorry 13.4 bridge, just put it down to be safe :p
