Missed my SSD arriving today, and the dpd calling card says they'll deliver it on the next working day automatically. Is sat considered a working day as they do deliver then or do they mean monday? Cheers

If it's not a working day then why the hell are they working and doing deliveries :/

Exactly my thoughts. The depot is on the other side of Bristol, and I'm working tomorrow anyway (not to mention I take the shoelace express so would be an epic mission). Sadface :( Looks like the missus gets to leave the house tomorrow then :p

They only deliver mon to fri, you pay extra for saturday deliveries.

You can however collect from the depot on sat, arrange the time via their site.

Working day on a 'normal' delivery is Mon-Fri.
Working day on a Saturday delivery is Mon-Sat.

Or something like that. :)

Not a "normal" working day, at least for most delivery companies (including RM and Parcel Force), nor for banking, schools, many office jobs etc :)

Basically mon-fri are normally considered the "working week" and saturday is part of the weekend, hence why you pay extra for saturday deliveries :)

I'm not sure if it holds true down south but up here you can actually get the package on the same day if you arrive ~15-20 minutes before the branch closes

Of course that doesn't really matter anymore for you :/

I've had DPD deliver at 10pm before so you never know, they might do a saturday delivery just for kicks lol

Yeah, the killer is I work weekdays so it's gonna be an endless loop of missed deliveries. Royal mail's depot is right round the corner too, shoulda thought ahead a bit on this one :O

EDIT: I coulda sworn I picked my soundcard up from the royal mail depot near my house last time... weird.

They will give you a time shortly, so you know when to exactly expect to receive it, track it between 9-10am :)
