I stumbled across a site from china that was selling fake beats by dre for £5 a pairif you bought 50 pairs. Wish i could get a real pair that cheap =/

Even if you find them for quite a bit more they'll likely be fakes. With headphones you really need to be careful of 'bargains' from eBay and unknown retailers as headphones are so heavily faked.

To be fair £20 is about all they are worth sonically.

Sonically they're worth about 1/2-1/3 of their price depending on the model, they are decent. Sennheiser aren't much better when it comes to performance:price.

They are fakes...usually chinese knock offs. My cousin bought a pair last yr for around the same price and within a day of use they had fallen apart plus the sound was terrible on them.

Definitely fake. Check out youtube for video comparisons of the real vs fake beats. The chinese are really good at cloning ****. Probably the same blueprints just really cheap material. It's amazing how much fake crap is sold via amazon, play etc through those 3rd part market places.

If it's too good to be true, it most likely is.

All that said; I'd rather spend £200 on Sennheiser's then Dre's.

Well just had a look on the big river and wow im shocked they are allowing so many people to sell obvious fakes on their site.

To be fair, what are they going to do? Decree that all beats headphones must be sold >£100?

£20 defo fakes, however I heard review from someone fake vs real £20 vs £100, and person said that fakes sound like real, probably inexperienced person would not notice difference.

The Dre's are awful and it saddens me people part with their money on them because they look shiny and seem more expensive than anything else on the high street, over far superior headphones from Sennheiser, Hifiman e.t.c. Classic case of style over substance. If the Beats were good, you'd see them getting a load of praise on Head-Fi... they don't.

beats are way overpriced for what they are. they leak sound like no mans business. not tried the new version "pro" but they look alrite. save your money
