Drain blocked

Hi, My drain was blocked so I unclogged it (Grim) and remove all the debrie (Soil, twigs, leaves, two marbles) and poured caustic soda down the drain.

I have fixed the draincover and even painted it with hammerite, Its bright red like ***** brake callipers.

is there anything else I can do to stop it clogging up in the future? I am pretty sure the repair I have done will stop lager debrie falling down it but I dont really want to have to unclogged it again 5 years down the line.

so any suggestions?

its ok now, the red paint will do its job
