I have the zalman reserator xt and was wondering how you'd drain the loop and the main unit.

Would it just be a case of disconnecting the tube that takes water back into the reserator and putting it in a bucket. Then jump starting the psu so the pump pushes all the coolant out of the loop into the bucket. Then just keep filling the reserator with distilled water till the water coming out is completely clear thus removing all the coolant from the blocks.

Or is their a better way?

Also I'm going to lap my cpu, do you think I should lap my cpu waterblock aswell. It does have a mirror finish as good as the image at the bottom of this page: http://www.guru3d.com/article/zalman_reserator_xt_GWB8800_review/467/6/

So would it be worthwhile to do it?

Cheers
