Draining the system

I have drained my system with a view to flushing and refilling with fresh fluid. It was a bit of a struggle to get air in to allow the system to drain. Is there such a thing as an air vent that can be placed at the top of the loop that allows air in for draining but also out for refilling.

Due to the length of my tubing run I have a pair of drain lines in the loop. One comes off the reservoir, the other is between the rads. To aid draining I can blow into the one between the rads to empty the loop. In a normal loop where everything is inside the case it should be easy enough to insert a T-piece at the highest point in the loop and add a short length of tubing with a stop plug in the end. When draining remove the stop plug and it should drain down fairly easily.

Air is technically a fluid (not a liquid though). Whatever you use to let liquid out, you can use elsewhere to let air in. A stop plug, drain valve or open reservoir will all let air in. How do you normally fill the res? That could become your air inlet when draining.
