It's a nice demo, some of the graphics effects, as everyone says, is very well thought out..
for me though just judging the demo, it's a 7/10..
A few things for me stop it being 'stunning'.
- Character animations seem weird at times on certain ledges jumping makes you glide/slide, they've spent ages doing great animations of climbing up/over and running, then forgot all the other stuff..
- No reflections on water/rocks etc seem a bit false
- very very linear, it's a bit frustrating
- AI animations for being shot/dying are all panto esque and too similar
- Sat close to the TV, the jaggies are a bit too evident, more AA would have been nice..
- Tilt control is false, it's a nice idea, just not realistically implemented, it's all or nothing movements, no subtlety to it..
I think because it's a shortish demo, you tend to do it a couple of times looking at these things along the way, where as with a full game, you just want to play the game, and enjoy it, any minor foibles tend to be easily overlooked..
I'll still be getting it, as realistically there isn't much else to get this month I like..
