When I have my RAM in the Blue DIMMs on my motherboard I get the red DRAM LED and my PC doesn't boot, however putting them in the two black slots works fine, is my motherboard buggered?

usually points to either cpu heatsink too tight or bent cpu pin/pins

if its working fine in black slots then i wouldnt worry too much, did you test the blue slots one by one? to see whether its one or both slots that are faulty?

Nope didn't check that, I'm not happy with a 1 month old motherboard being faulty mind, I'll pop the panel off tomorrow and check the slots.

Strange, I took the ram out and put it back into the blue slots and it wouldn't boot again, so I tested them one at a time and it worked fine, I then tested both again and it worked. Pretty sure I put the ram in correctly but now it seems to be working. Look really dumb now.
