Dreamfall The Longest Journey gets a sequel!

I quite enjoyed Dreamfall (the sequel to the Longest Journey). One of my favourite games, in fact. That was also developed by Funcom, so I'm looking forward to this.

The Norwegian Film institute has given them funds to start off with, not enough for full production though. Press release says "...will independently fund..."

Visually dreamfall was nice but the action elements in it drove me off half way through when stealth was needed in this building and i had to evade sentry bots iirc.

TLJ was a masterpiece tho i hope its more like that and 2d not crappy 3d like DF was. I think TLJ was and probably still is considered the best adv game ever along side grim fandango, monkey island, syberia etc.
 
'Dreamfall Chapters' was first mentioned YEARS ago if I remember correctly, this is long overdue.

I understand the project was shelved to focus on Secret World?

On 1 March 2007, Funcom announced that the continuation of the story will be published in episodic format under the title Dreamfall Chapters. Later that day, Ragnar Tørnquist confirmed the announcement and stated that it goes perfectly with his plans for the continuation. The numerous cliffhangers and apparent plot holes in Dreamfall have caused a great commotion among the players and were addressed by Ragnar Tørnquist on his blog. He stated that the game is, in fact, the first part of a duology and that all questions will be answered in the second installment.

Enjoyed the game even though it was a bit girlie. The developer Funcom is Norwegian with no obvious UK profit generating connections. (thermite)
lets just hope theres a scene when you have to make her FAP, leisure suit larry 1 style, low quality bitmap's, the finer things in life.
