has anyone found a permanent fix for the desktop icon text going invisable or unreadable?
i have many fixes on google, but they only work until you reboot the pc, then the problem comes back.

Yep, I've got one on my other computer

I'll fire it up later and drop it into my dropbox for ya ok

I ran dreamscene for months using that fix - works perfectly

dropbox is a filesharing program that allows me to just move a file into a folder on my pc and then give you a link to be able to download it

it's a great system

lol if you want to share a file (post an image on here, or give a dreamscene fix to someone...) you just copy the file into the 'public' folder (after double clicking on the blue box icon in the notification area...) then right-click on it, click 'dropbox' and then 'copy public link' and post it on here (or wherever) and that file is then openly available for others to download

(not directly off your PC might I add, files you add to the public folder are stored online with a standard capacity of 500mb - after going through that referral link I posted, you and me now (should) have 750mb

)

I'm going to find you the fix now... just firing up the other system

Really? :-/ that's baffling...

You put a shortcut to the 'startup' file in the startup folder, yes?

You can't delete the unzipped files either mind you - you have to keep the 'dreamscene continuous fix' folder somewhere out of the way so the startup shortcut can access it each time you reboot... thinking about it, that caught me out first time

uninstalled and reinstalled dreamscene with your fix and seems to be working fine now

ok, it does work, for about an hour, then the video stops and it just get it as a picture background

that makes me sad.. I ran dreamscene for about six months with that fix... Did you try reapplying the fix?

If that still doesn't work, then I'm afraid I'm out of ideas

yeh reapply it did nothing. if i pick another vid then it runs fine for an hour or so, then the same.
its kool, nice feature but i didnt have it before so its not the end of the world. thanks for your help though, completly fixed my text issue.
