dremel a-like

Believe it or not, it was mains powered!!

But, it must have been some kind of transformer that reduced it down to 12v as it also had a lead to run from a car cigarette lighter, so probably mains powered, but transformed down to 12v or similar!

I'm not saying the Netto one is bad by the way, it looks way better than the one I purchased!!

If I knew then what I know now etc etc!

Not as rad looking as that one! Mine is yellow with a variable speed dial, which is pretty useless as it struggles to cut anything even at full speed!!

I might just check out where my local Netto is, I think it's Chesterfield though...

Can you stop/slow the chuck with your fingers whilst it's rotating? If you can good sign not that much torque (the 12v/ battery one you could)

My Dremel came in real handy today, i lost the key to my shed padlock and used the Dremel to cut it off :D . It cut through like a hot knife through butter with the reinforced disk, i was quite surprised.

China has some good stuff coming through now and the manufacturers are taking advantage of the cheap labour on many many products, Dremel is a brand name you pay for... it probably cost as much as the cheapie to make!

yea but what if your demel was locked in your shed! then youd have to get a £9.99 one, perfect opportunity to compare them =]

i got 1 A* and 7A's WHOOOOT!
