Drexel, Found your new engine

No internal work on that F20C????? Wow, wouldn't expect that to last.....

Its says its being rebuilt though however.

Anyone else notice that the plate is UK but the street they are driving down at the end looks very americanesque. Wonder why he didn't just pick a yank S2K if he moved out there.

Its one of the guys on the UK members area of s2ki's car... i'll ask if you want ... might be a good reason as to why he didnt get a new car out there

Cool thanks, would be interesting to know. Perhaps he wanted the F20C instead of the F22C1. Can't think why though, would have thought the torque increase and the good exchange rate could have possibly netted him a newer, low mileage model, and the CR is "only" 0.1 more on the F22C1 - but I'm not too clued up on the ins and outs of the F Series ;)

I am *so* tempted to get that mega-boosted Teg on Pistonheads just for the laffs - 325whp

Tell me about it!

As my wife mainly commutes in our CTR, I don't think a car like that would last more than one trip to the school where she teaches!

That video is on low boost ;)

125k standard engine.

The s2000 engine has forged rods and pistons as standard and ceramic coated pistons. The cylinder walls are also metal matrix material (rock hard). And the crank ladder is one piece so it is a very stiff block.

He is putting in a 'proper' built engine though, think that is going in soon.

Mase is a tuning god, he makes regular trips to the Uk just to tune cars seeing as no one in the UK can do a good job.

DreXel if you do ever go turbo avoid CPL racing like the plague, guy is a cowboy.

Performance solutions is one of the few places I would trust.

Edit - Just incase you are intersted here is a vid of my old civic vti, running only 230bhp

B16a2
Drag Gen 3 turbo kit
T3/T04e turbo
450cc dsm injectors
JE pistons
Eagle rods
11 psi

It was tuned badly tbh and should have made much more power. Still perfomed well santa pod run 13.9 @ 108mph

At one point a pipe came off the boost control valve and it overboosted to 15psi, my god it was quick then, must have been about 260-270bhp.

In total I spent £5k on the engine alone and cracked the lands on the orginal stock pistons within 1 week lol.
