Attempting to count units is dangerous now as strengths and measures have changed since it was introduced. A pint of Stella is 3 units and an 'average' pint of lager closer to 2.5, and wine in the (almost) half pint glasses they use these days is 3ish units also (which is quite a jump from the original 1 unit in a 'glass'). So shandy it is - but even after only a couple you could be pushing it!
