Drinking Age

Tbh mate, I dont have a spare £80 lying about for a fine (Chances are low but why take them?).

Im sure a 17 year old can get their hands on alchol.

Turned into a flame fest, tbh all I wanted to know was the age as I was intreeged.

If it amuses you to flame, keep going.

Wont be re-checking the thread.

Have fun <3 xxxx

It is only illegal for those aged 5-17 to drink alcohol on licensed premises (e.g. a pub or restaurant); they may legally drink alcohol in private.

If anyone starts behaving wrongly stick a burberry cap on him, stick him in the front of your house and phone the police saying theirs someone outside threatining your garden gnome!

on a more serious note just tell them to bring their own beer if they want to drink as you will have a limited supply. Problem solved :)

If he's drinking on your property and 17 I wouldn't see that as a problem tbh, buy him some vodka and red bull or beer/ whatever he drinks and let him have a good time. Me, and most people I know have been drinking since we were 15, not been a problem with the police at all.

With the 'buying for under 18's' rule, it's mostly for people who buy for random people on the street, if it's drinking in a home I doubt there would be a problem.

It is illegal to give a child under the age of 5 an alcoholic drink unless under medical supervision. That's the law. Worrying about giving a 17 year old alcohol is pretty insane..... you have been watching too many American movies where the police break up parties and ask everyone for ID

lol cheers for all the responses, few things to point out.

1) Last time we had a garden party some lads got "rowdy" so the neighbours called the police (Not ideal)

2) Its not like im not going to "OFFER" him a can but if he "ACCIDENTLY" gets his hands on it, nothing I can do is their ;)

3) Im not paranoid about police coming round or anything, im sure they have plenty of better things to do in my area (Birmingham - Nice place :/)

I was just generally intrested as people were telling me all sorts.

<3

Seems to me the OP was just trying to be responsible, no need for people to have had a go at him.
