Drinking alone

I always drink alone, depends on the day and how I feel, on how much and what I drank, chillaxing the other day and managaed to drink about 300ml of vodka.

I used to go out twice during the week and then cane the weekends as well so never really drank on my own, but now i generally go out twice a week and have 3-4 cans on a week night. Usually while watching a film / playing a game in my room.

I dont think there is any issue at all drinking on your own as long as it isnt all the time and you are not getting hammered.

@TipTop: Good link, I've read it before but the author hits a few points of truth.

It's a great site with well written articles and fantastic t-shirts. :D

Downing a good bottle of wine and surprising yourself with your capacity to think and explore your own personality like some 16 century intellectual experimenting with absinthe.

i've done that plenty of times, often been a load of ****** tho

I don't drink before I go out, if I enjoyed being at home i'd stay home and drink all evening.
Don't see the point as it is, I hate being in my house, I wanna go out and socialise and do stuff.

If I'm stuck in the house because my mates are wussing out or i'm skint i'll have a few cans by myself. I occasionally go down the pub to read a book and have a few if I've got nothing else to do.

I LOVE to have a few tasty beers every now and again while watching some tv/film.

HOWEVER there is a certain drunk you shouldn'g get to :p

I just had some nice tomato soup and a nice glass of peach juice whilst watching taken alone if that counts.

Edit: I now feel sick :(

When it comes to alcohol for me its nothing or all out
I dont drink in the house, I would rather drink water or juice

Only drink when Im out clubbin it and tend to get shteamin
good times

Only with food. I get a bottle of red for cooking with, have glass while cooking, and then another while eating, by then its empty :/

... I'd better make my way to AA.

Worth mentioning there is a probably a big gap between what is socially acceptable based on age. When I was 18, I only drank in clubs to get wasted. Now at 23, I experiment with good quality wines and whisky, and avoid clubs.

I drink alone all the time, when I finish work I will have 4-5 beers, 3-4-5 times a week.

Nothing better than a beer and 360/pc after a hectic day at work

I experiment with good quality wines and whisky, and avoid clubs.

I only drink what I enjoy the taste of, I don't enjoy wines and I only drink real ale, wouldn't drink for the sake of it

There's absolutely nothing wrong with drinking alone, even on a regular basis.

The "problem" is when a mental dependency on alcohol is formed. In fact, I'm sure many more who go out on the town with mates on a regular basis on a friday night would find it a much more horrific prospect not to have booze than someone who spends them at home alone with games/movies etc.

It doesn't matter where you drink, how often you drink, or how much you drink; but if you feel that things simply aren't good enough unless you're wasted, there's a problem.

I drink alone all the time, up until a few weeks ago it was every night... Saying it like that sounds quite bad but it was only ever a pint of something or a glass of whiskey or Baileys or some other spirit/liqour. I drink what I enjoy and I enjoy a drink at night to relax, its become a ritual of sorts. Even if I go out though I'll only have a couple of pints, never aim to get steaming as I just don't see the point

It depends on how you use alcohol.

I love my quiet booze when listening to music and felling inspired. But out with mates is a different matter.

The drug can be enjoyed on so many different levels, just roll with it and allow your mind to expand.

Over n out
