Every Monday night me and the boss would sink a good few cans in the last hour when I worked part time in a chip shop.
"Take a tenner out of the till and get a few cans from Spar boy, there's got to be more to life than this"
Then we'd spend the next hour or so standing there, mops in hand, talking about cars, shagging, drinking, fighting, women, it was great![]()
Back in the late 80's and 90's I was working for Lloyds Bank in their IT building at Blackfriars. It was tradition there on Christmas Eve to stop work around midday and wheel in a load of beer/wine/etc and have a party in the office (and yes, occasionally there were loads of stories afterwards!). How times have changed as IT has matured and this kind of thing gets less and less. I moss those days![]()
I'm bringing half a dozen tins of Guinness and a half bottle of whiskey into work tonight to keep me going. It's just rude not to have a seasonal drink.
Strictly non-drinking environment here. This extends to lunchtimes as well.
