Owning a 458 is an exciting but dangerous affair.

The sleek Italian lines and 4.5litre V8 562BHP engine are enough to make anybody go weak at the knees.

The intelligent suspension and clever double clutch gearbox makes the 458 one of the most desirable drivers exotics on the market today.

But there is also the ever present danger that you will end up in a ditch, on fire.

the racing wheel runs off electricity I assume? If so does having this mod not increase the risk of it bursting into flames? If not I can only assume its not genuine ferrari

Was tempted by the T500rs when they were under and around £300 as I'm slowly getting into sim racing and this has had great reviews. Any reason why the base wheel has gone up pretty much everywhere? (though here is still the cheapest as far as I can see). Bit off topic I know, sorry.

Fab looking rim, though I think the FLASH button might confuse some people ;)

dollar rate and materials costs. they have slowed down importing them so each unit is a little more expensive.

we kept our costs lower by ordering more stock. its that simple.

Ah right, cheers. Was thinking it was way too early for them to discontinue these as they're still popular.

Still tempted, ahhhhhh! :(

Welp... :D

The rubber wheel surround was one of the more criticised aspects of the original from the reviews I read. I'm unsurprised to see Thrustmaster listening to their critics (as usual) and doing exactly the same thing with the Ferrari wheel. I'm surprised Ferrari licensed it, but then money talks.

It's a shame as otherwise I'd be tempted to trade in my Logitech.

Nice price though OcUK :D

Darkman - if the rubber grip is a problem earn some man points by fixing it yourself. Stalk and kill a cow using any high quality mechanical keyboard (you need the extra weight) and then make a nice surround using the excessive amount of hide you will obtain. You also have at least a weeks supply of red meat to consume while using your upgraded wheel :).

I would love one of these but my recent upgrade will have to satisfy my urges :D.

LOL, advertising a "driving" keeping in mind just a computer steering wheel, is rather like proposing sex to somebody giving him a picture of banana :)
