Drive clicking - spindle not "staying" to read disc - Video included

Anyone had this happen to them before with a drive?

Seagate Momentus 7200.4 - 500gig drive

Why is the spindle jumping like this?

That drive is FUBAR, especially now the cover has been removed! It looks like the head has crashed onto the platter, which has damaged both of which. The head is trying to find a position on the drive but simply can't due to the damage.

It's happened millions of times bin it, get a new one . Restore your important data from the last backup...
