Basically, my media hard drive has been acting up recently, causing crashes etc. Whenever i unplug it, everything works fine. So i downloaded HD Tune, and ran a quick test, and it found one block which is damaged. I'll do a full scan tonight (it took too long), but basically, how can i fix this damaged 'block', or just get the HDD to just not use said 'block'.

doesn't support vista :/

I'm running windows disc check at the moment, it's current stuck on one cluster, which is probably the error. I'll leave it over night and report back

Thanks for the help.

I used a program called hdd regenerator to repair a bad block or two once that hd tune found. Hard drive wasnt causing a problem though.

I dont think you can fix them unless the error was in error :p It should be marked and not used to store data though which is what chkdsk does I think
