Drive has slowed right down but is otherwise fine?!

Got a bizarre issue here with a WD Green 1TB drive.

Today the performance has suddenly fallen through the floor, to the point where I'm getting around 10-20MB/s throughput from it when reading or writing files.

The bizarre thing is, the drive is fine otherwise. There are no errors, files read and write without problems and it's not making any weird noises. SMART data is also all fine. The only issue is that it's suddenly ridiculously slow.

Anyone seen anything like this or got any ideas?

Is it just connected via SATA inside the PC or in a NAS? Try another SATA cable or port?

SATA port on the standard Intel controller (P67 chipset). Have three other drives on the same controller which are all fine. Will try it on a different port.

Had this happen a few times each time replacing the SATA cable has fixed it, cheapo SATA cables are terribly fickle.
