drive not appearing

i have a 160gb & 80gb hdd's that i hotswap in caddies, all of a sudden since i formatted pc, the pc wont even show the 80gb, and it says the 160gb need formatting, but bot both are full of stuff i need?
HELP PLEASE

Take a look in Disk Management (Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management) and see what it reckons the state of each drive is. Hopefully it should just be a case of assigning a drive letter or importing them as foreign volumes
