Hey guys,
I have two HDDs... 1 x SATA for Windows + games, 1 x IDE for Media. The IDE drive has been clicking for a few months now, so I was slightly suspicious. Anyway, I booted from a Hibernate yesterday and got loads of Disk errors, and the drive had disappered from the systerm. I rebooted, and it was back... worked fine, and I continued using it. Booted up this morning, drive is still there. I was thinking it might have been a one-off, but I came back from lectures today (and coming out of another hibernate) and I had the same problem again.
The data is backed up in 2 locations, so that's not a worry, but would it be worth me getting rid of it and buying a new drive?
cheers.
