Drive partition

The Daughter as a Acer lap top with a partitioned hard drive,the "c" drive is full how do we access the "d" drive which is showing 65gb free.

What do u mean by 'access' ? I presume you can get onto the drive via 'my computer'? Do you want access or do u want to transfer the space on the D drive to the C drive?

Can the space be transferred to the C drive?it can be accessed via "my computer" but we don't seem able to move folders across there only seems a copy option.

Run disk cleanup and install 'ccleaner', they will remove temporary files

Both partitions are 65gb,I don't know whats on the C drive.She's a uni student so there is a lot of work on there.

You're not really giving us much to work with here

Could be a good idea to redirect the Music folder to D:\Music, that's likely to be big (at a guess)

What info do you need,if we try to move the music or any other folder across there is no right click option to move only copy,so is this the way do do it and then delete the original file on the C drive?The D drive show's up as "D" Data.

Your right,15gb of music plus 5gb of pictures, that's cleared a bit of space,but why can't I find a move option instead of copy? Its running Vista if that help's.

I wouldn't worry too much. Copy it over then when you're sure its all ok, just delete it from C drive.
