Got my main data drive (3TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K3000)
Been fine for 6 months or so, and now when I try to use it (when using lightroom to access pictures) it just cuts out, the drive 'remaining space' info on the drive in my computer vanishes and I have to double click the drive and ... about a minute later the drive 'reappears' and lightroom stops hanging and carries on working as normal.
I installed personal smart check and the drives health varies wildly from '90' on a good day to now, its at 18.
Also the 'nearest TEC date' appears to be todays date.......but then yesterday it didnt report this, but it did the day before....
Whats happening ?! - if it was a drive failure surely it would just stop ?
