As you might have seen in my other post, I was looking for a new drive. I now have just loaded up my Seagate barracuda IDE to move my back ups on to my main (slower IDE) I intended to create a partition on the Seagate for windows, got to the stage of creating the new partition and said 0 megabytes free and i know all my videos that were stored only came to 150gig out of 200, loaded it back up slaved off my other drive to find out that the disk is un-readable. So my question, is there any free software out there that you guys have used and where to get it to recover my 150gig of videos + music

I have checked cabling and jumpers all are in the right place using cable select etc, I don't want to have to wipe the drive ever there is a slight chance I can recover my files.

(edit: are these worth trying? http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/collection/collid,1295-order,1-c,downloads/files.html)
