Driver cleaners

DDU is my preferred driver cleaner. I use it when I upgrade my driver on my AMD cards to minimise the possibility of errors occurring.
DDU also works equally as well on Nvidia cards, so that's all good on your part.

DDU but TBH I only ever use these sort of programs when going red to green or vice versa. Otherwise I just install over the top and have never had any problems doing such.
I do exactly the same, instal the new version of the driver in the same location as the old one, and it's worked perfectly well so far, and I've done this for years.
I guess that'll teach me for not fully reading the original post won't it
I'm afraid I can't be much help then, only very recently built a new system after a 10+ year gap, and am still using the same GPU I originally purchased for the build.
I'm not normally one to use these unless I need to, though AFAIK AMD drivers do leave something behind in the registry, so using something like DDU can be beneficial. Recently, I tried it for the first time and the irritations I was experiencing disappeared.
