Driver Experts - AHCI worth it?

Hi, is it worth re-installing windows to enable Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) on my system??

Seems to be a few problems with it according to wiki, but I don't use
sata optical drives or specialised software;

Has anyone seem any benefits from it? (I don't plan to use raid or anything).

I was thinking the same thing, Today I noticed my drives where set to ide mode and had the option of ahci or raid, Think I might just raid 0 my drives.
