Hi guys

After having lots of problems with my girlfriends laptop I decided to wipe it clean and reinstall windows. Now that's all fine, but I'm having trouble installing drivers mainly because I don't have a clue what to do!

Handily Sony provide all the drivers for each model laptop on their site to download, so I've did that on my PC and whacked em on a USB stick.

Now my problem is that all the drivers are folders for each part, so network, fingerprint, wifi etc and in each folder some around 3 files. I'm not sure how to install or where to put said files on the laptops drive, or even if that's how to go about it.

Any help you can give me will be great.

if there's no 'exe' files in the folders then go to device manager, find the device and click 'update driver', then point it at the folder with the .inf file in for that piece of hardware...

everest ultimate trial is good for finding out what hardware you have if you're not sure

list some of the filenames from the folders (and their extensions)

Can't check at the moment as I'm at work posting from my phone, but that gives me something to get on with when I get in, thank you.

My main priority is to get the network driver going so I can grab updated versions for everything else.
