Driver keeps crashing when playing games - 2x 290's

This is the board I have - I have the latest bios that im aware of.

I have not been able to get into bios again recently as the computer has been booting way to fast. I had this issue previously but then was able to access bios again but its come back again and fast boot is off lol.

But aye I recent bios.

Second card is not crashing so far after a game of bf4 but it trolled me last night and both cards went for a game.

Maybe the psu connectors might be the culprit il try changing those maybe.

Assuming the cards are working individually OK.
You have no heat issues, hence the crashes.

Maybe you need to get those 2 cards to one of your mates and try them on different motherboard.

I dont know anyone :\ who has a machine with the ability to test it them in crossfire.

Im about to test them individually with the other psu cable.

Maybe its that rail.

If it isnt that il try all the rails individually to see which one could be causing either card to crash driver/not respond.

If all the rails are fine then surely it might be the motherboard? or maybe the psu cant handle the load............. even though it should be able to :\

Flashing bios to F7G now to see if it makes any difference -_-.

I have to reset cmos just to get into bios because pressing del from the moment machine goe son doesnt work.

The direct 2 bios button doesnt work either.

When I overclocked my GPU too high I kept on getting a driver crash, though I know you haven't done that. Could be a GPU issue! Haven't read through the entire thread so skip this if it has already been mentioned

Hey bud,

Ive ran them both separately now and they ran bf4 for over 2 hours each and heaven benchmarks.

Any kind of stress test on them individually did not result in either having driver crashes.

Or full screen artefacts like the one above.

I have just flashed bios and I am about to try the 2 cards together again.

The cards work fine on there own.

When I put them in together drivers immediately start to crash. in crossfire mode. All of the above starts happening slowly and I will most likely get the full screen artifact too.

:(

I dont know what to do.

I dont know what to do.

A bit of a long shot, you could have a go at underclocking and undervolting the cards to reduce power consumption. If it works it could point to a problem with the PSU.

How much of an under volt will it take to make a difference to psu consumption you think?

Ill try it.

Try running the cards @800/1250 if you can get them that low with undervolting to match. It is a long shot though.

Also try them with the default volts at reduced clockspeeds as well, if it works you know the problem is something like the PSU as the cards work fine on their own.

I am not sure what volts match those kinds of clocks as ive never OC'd cards much before ive been mostly a CPU kind of guy lol.

Ill try set the cards to that profile first without touching the volts.

Still having this issue.

I cant even run one card for more then 2 hours now without the driver crashing or a full screen artifact/comp crash.

Ive tried both cards on there own now and its the same issue.

Ive sent the motherboard back and the psu which are going to be replaced.

Its happening with all cards I use atm.

3 months of absoloute ******** so far.
