Driver rollback

I had a WiFi issue with latest WiFi drivers from my motherboards website, since then I’ve done a clean install and using much older WiFi drivers without issues, (touch wood).

I would like to be certain it was the latest drivers causing the issues, so if I updated to latest drivers again, is it easy to roll back to previous drivers?

In device manager, under driver tab I can see a rollback driver option. I’ve never attempted it before so just curious if it’s a simple process clicking on that if I have an issue?

Thanks

in theory it should rollback
but i would have an image backup just in case
or at very worst at least a system restore point as a better
than nothing at all

if its working fine
unless the newer driver gives a specific advantage
sometimes better to leave it as is

I tested again with new driver and immediately same issue, clicked rollback and it did just that, so all good now.

At least I know the latest driver definitely has an issue for me, so will stay clear.

yeah it should have worked
but should never means definitely when it comes
to computers
main thing is if the new driver doesn't add anything
that's useful there's no harm not updating it

Check if there's a newer\different driver on the manufacturer's website, Intel, Realtek etc.

However, if everything work fine, like range and speed, then I would leave alone. I only update drivers on a fresh install. I don't game on a PC though, so no need to chase the best performance.
