Driver wont install. Help pls.

have u downloaded the correct set off drivers for your GPU get the latest ones from Nvidia that are 7.15.11.7783 numbered select the correct OS version either 32 bit or 64 from http://www.nvidia.com/content/forcewithin/us/download.asp select windows xp if 32 op otherwise choose from drop down list..

Power the machine right off, cable pulled out, the lot.
Try again.
Remove and reseat the card
Try again.
It COULD be slightly hardware related......ie the vga funtionality is working fine, but the GPU aint talking.
Certainly it's more likely to be software, but it's a thought.

if its a 32 bit os and nvidia GPU then http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/177.92/177.92_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_beta.exe

Have you installed the chipset drivers - are there any yellow exclamation marks in device manager ? It could be that the chipset isnt all there - so the o/s and driver can't see the card properly.
