Hi

As the title says I'm getting this error when trying to install an old seagate SATA HDD. Remove the HDD and the error goes.

Is there something in the BIOS thats not set up correctly?

Cheers
Sean

I had this issue on install of Win 7. The only way I sorted it in the end was a BIOS update.

Back in my PC days, that used to be related to OCed RAM. If you're running the sticks out of spec, dial it back a tad.

Got a dual boot system so given up trying to get the HDD working with Vista but it runs OK in WIN XP.
