Hey,

Can someone give me some advice on whats best to do with a fresh install of XP on an Asus A8N-SLI Delux driver wise?

Am i best to stick with XPs default drivers for the motherboard, or should I update the chipset drivers and stuff to the latest versions? I have had performance issues in the past after doing this, but theres no way i can put it down to the drivers causing problems.

Also, with a dual core cpu, Is it a good idea to install the AMD dual core driver?

If it matters i have updated the bios a while ago, to 1015 i think.

Thanks for any tips

yep install the amd dual core driver...not all ppl do but most of the ppl I know who have dual cores have done so...

I would install the drivers that came with the mobo if you still have the disk? Thereafter if anything requires updating only do so if you feel there is a need to do it...

Alternatively if you dont have the cd that came with the mobo then download the latest drivers and if something is patchy or doesnt work too well then delete that driver and install a previous version...
