Driveshaft Oil Leak

Hi all,

n/s/f driveshaft on my recently aquired cinquecento appears to be losing a lot of oil when jacked up, I have recently been trying to locate a fault thats causing a knocking sound over rough tarmac, could the two be associated?

If the leak is coming from where the shaft meets the gearbox/diff, it'll be a worn driveshaft oil seal. I cant imagine that to cause a knocking noise though.

Knocking could be the CV joint if it's dry... check your gearbox oil level if it's on that side.
