Out of interest whats the regulation on driving a van, such as small removal van. Am I able to drive one? just my friend has moved house and wondered if I could drive a van? I have a licence to drive a car, is there an age regulation? im 19.

I thought you were allowed to drive another vehicle third party only if You are insured fully comp?but that might only apply to people over 25,not to sure.

I would just drive it anyway, just dont speed and cause attention to yourself.

Well im insured on my own car but under my fathers name fully comprehensive (had to do that due to the insurance being sky high for under my own policy).

Don't know if that counts? Just don't want to just jump in the van start driving get pulled over and find out im in the crap because i didn't realize the regulations lol.

Surely if you went on your fathers insurance due to yours being sky high then when you come to get your own policy you will have to pay sky high prices anyway due to 0 no claims

Not at all, direct line do a thing where no claims build even if your under someone elses policy.

And nah lol father driving it isn't an option. It's not a big deal really I was just wondering. thx

You're OK for any van up to 3.5 tonnes.

Most hire companies have a minimum age limit of 21 with 2 years full license, so they won't touch you with a bargepole for insurance reasons.
