You'll probably prefer either LFS or rFactor, they feel a bit different in regards to the force feedback. Malc is an rFactor man, I prefer LFS

RBR is THE rally sim for PC though, along with the RSRBR08 mod with extra cars, tarmac mod, hillclimb mod etc.

Personally I'd use the RBR-Online mod, even if you don't take part in the online rallies it has a handy utility that lets you choose between a whole range of additional cars, stages and surfaces.

I have a G25 and play LFS, GT Legends and RBR. I tried rFactor but just didn't like it.

I might have a look at GTR2 and see if there is a F1 mod, still looking for Grand Prix 4 though, might pop into Gamestation and see if they have any old copies in their pile of used PC games.

Just realised no manual handbrake! Much like flight sims, there are no collective/pitch levers available.

A combined rudder/throttle combo and handbrake/collective combo would sell, I think

If you're looking for realism obviously avoid any TD/NFS type games. Have a look at LFS, rFactor, GTR 1+2 (GTR has more realistic physics than GTR2), GT Legends, GPL etc. rFactor with the 1979 F1 mod in a good online league has to be one of the best racing experiences you can have on a PC, plus there's so many tracks available.

LFS tyre physics are a bit off, but in most of the cars it's good and the online works very well.

True, and there probably are niche manufacturers that make them already. I guess most main manufacturers don't bother with it as it isn't really used in most racing games, which is a shame as I use it a lot in RBR, naturally

. It gets a bit annoying using the shifter as handbrake as it can get stuck if you push down even a little, and of course it's not analog, but you get used to it.
