Driving Gloves

I'm after a nice pair of driving gloves which will also keep my hands warm when scraping ice from my car.

Any recommendations?

Just get some normal gloves then take them off when you get in the car.

Surely if you put the engine on straight away then start de-icing, by the time you sit in the car the wheel won't be that cold.

I bought some leather driving gloves from John Lewis because I thought they'd look cool. They're awesome, but I look like a bit of a nob wearing them because they look like something an assassin would wear.

So I've only worn them a couple of times.

Just whack the heating on five minutes before your journey if you're such a girl. You'll be nicely toasted and won't have to admit to owning a pair of driving gloves.

black leather gloves from a decent high street clothes store (john lewis etc) will do the job,

do not wear them with a short sleeve shirt though or t-shirt.

only to be worn at the same time as a wool 3/4 length overcoat & suit jacket for that assassin look.

Last winter I wore some normal leather gloves but they didn't do much to keep my hands warm. The heating only really kicked in when I was half way to work and the steering wheel was like a block of ice until then. Hopefully replacing the cabin filter this year will make it warm up faster, not that I'll be using it that much this year.

Only time i wear them is on track to stop my hands slipping with the wheel, but i just use mountain bike gloves.
