Driving in Poland

Oh..Shedload of more roadworks coming up as highways are now implementing "highWeigh in motion sensors

(Just more crap gleaned from the (compulsory) pathetic CPC course)

I've been on them as well for the last 5 years, Blue CPC card arrived about a month ago. They've had those road sensors for a fair few years now. VOSA should be alerted whenever a road sensor detects a overloaded vehicle. Saves premature wear & tear on said road & chances are if a vehicle is overloaded, both vehicle & driver may have other things wrong with it too (unroadworthy, tacho infringements etc,)

I've been to Poland twice in the last two years, Only driven from the airport in Gdansk to Sopot, main road was OK but the potholes on the back roads are shocking. Worst place I've been to for bad roads was Malta, but that was donkeys years ago & things may have improved since then.

Taking a Taxi in Ole Deniz in Turkey was fun, like being in a real life game of Crazy Taxi. Spent most of the journey on the other side of the road with my 6 year old screaming go faster and me praying for him to run out of fuel.

Eventually slowed down when I police car sat behind us for about 30 seconds. Roads were shocking too.

Pffft try crossing Turkey in 24 hours with 3 drivers all on the same sleeping pattern. Throw in some ridiculous road works and then throw in the Iranian border on the otherside.

All in a £400 Honda Shuttle with a dodgy cam pulley.
