That's the first thing we covered when I started, before I'd even turned the key in the ignition. We then spent 20 minutes going around a few quiet back streets just so I could get used to steering, breaking, gear changes etc. By the end of the lesson I was heading home down the nearby bypass at 70 I felt that confident.
 
20 hours lessons= £360-£440

pass plus= *£108-£132 + pass plus fees

total = £468-£572 + fees

so yes that's quite good

edit: jesus £14 per hour? that's ridiculously cheap.
 
I paid for a book of 10 which got me a further 3 for £10 each then i was paying £18 after that but i think i only had ~20 which included the 2 hours for Test and Hour before
Then i did Pass Plus for £120 but i only really did that for a bit more driving practise as i went on holiday 2 days after my test so i never had a car or anything sorted
 
Pass plus is a bit of a joke as far as I am aware.

One instructor offered to just sign my friend off as having done if he paid the fee.

Plus the insurance break is only for 1 year I think and then it is pretty limited where it can be used.

The only value is extra practice with an instructor, if you want this I would urge you to look at the IAM. It will cost £75/85 for essentially unlimited help.

I don't quite see what you're getting at, you saying that driving below or at the speed limit, using msm etc isn't how you should drive?
 
Dunno if anyone has said this yet as I haven't read the whole thread: BSM do 2 hour lessons for £26.50. Got 25 and a test guarantee thing, they also pay for my driving test, all for £720. Whatever lessons I don't use they refund. :)
 
You don't want one hour lessons. Get 2hour lessons. After all your driving test will be in the 2nd hour. you need to build you concentration levels up from the start.

You realise if you've never drove before you'll need more than 20 hours of lessons to pass the test?

When did they change that? Mine was one hour long.

Mine's gona be 35-40 mins:confused:
 
I did a 30 hour, 2 week course in February which cost me £500 and the instructor was excellent. I passed first time and on the first hour I could barely get the car moving properly, so he did a good job to get me through the test.

I was with LDC, they seem to have a good system for training which includes DVDs and a 'test yourself' workbook.
