That’s fab you passed so quick! Think it’ll be more than 14 for me!

I had 14 lessons before passing my test first time. I then proceeded to not drive for about 5 years as I went to Uni. When I then got my first car it took me a little time to get comfortable again driving.

I just found it generally easy, have now been driving for about 20 years since that first car and whilst I wouldn't say I was the best driver in the world, I do have 19 years no claims lol

Took a few months before my test was booked. I felt very confident early on...sure my instructor was sponging me. Then there was my hgv class one & class two.....first lesson on a Monday....straight onto a motorway...no dual controls...& the test four days later the following Friday! but that's another story lol. Oh and good luck!

Thanks it’s comers I struggle with! More lessons I’m getting I feel a little more confident.

If you're reversing on a corner on test..& know you're going to hit the kerb...stop...pull forward & try & rectify yourself instead of carrying on & hitting kerb. This happened to me..I knew I would hit the kerb...I let the examiner know why I was going forward again instead..to rectify myself...I passed but he told me that he was glad I pulled forward to rectify my reverse corner turn else I'd had failed for hitting kerb. Anyway..you can do it!

22 lessons to pass. Think the switch flipped about lesson 16 when my driving instructor was talking to me about random stuff and I was replying naturally whilst also taking in what was going on around me without thinking.

That’s good to know! Not a lot of lessons too.
