Driving licence renewal ?

Tomorrow my licence runs out.
I had renewal come through the post at start of January -filled it in same day -put old licence in and sent it off next day. Nothing - Rang middle of March and today and they told me it is in the system don't worry about it. This is just ranting really but it *****s you off.
Before they renew it I also need a eye test -Passed 100% last time -hope this year will be the same. Also 82 tomorrow.
Never had these problems when it was all done by hand.
If I remember (or still here) I will update when I get the renewal - I hope.

Got my renewal email a few days ago, clicked 'Next' a few times on the DVLA website, it took my passport photo and £14 and the new one should be with me in a few days. Mine doesn't expire until May but the online service seemed very fast and easy to use.

Mine was surprisingly quick, took around 7 working days. I did it online though.

My dad recently had a nightmare with this - took 6 months! to arrive after being told repeatedly it would be within 2 weeks.

Just remember to not drive until you have it renewed. If you get stopped yor screwed and you will not be insured if driving with expired license
